Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is our pleasure to invite you to celebrate the Day of the Flag of the Republic of Poland together. The Opera Picnic with Niepodległa will take place on the 2nd of May from 12:00 to 17:00 at Myśliwiecka 1 in Warsaw, i.e. in the place where the new building of our institution will be constructed in the future.
During this family event, the Artists of the Polish Royal Opera will perform beautiful works from the national repertoire, as well as famous melodies by composers from other countries. The first part, from 12:00 to 14:15, will be dedicated to chamber music – songs with piano by Polish masters of vocal music as well as famous melodies by, among others, Mozart and Beethoven, in arrangements for flute trio, violin quartet, and string quartet.
At 3:00 p.m., a solemn performance of the Polish National Anthem Mazurek Dąbrowskiego will open the concert of Polish opera music performed by Soloists and the Orchestra of the Polish Royal Opera under the conducted by maestro Karol Szwech.
There will also be numerous attractions for the youngest music lovers. In the opera tent, the organizers have prepared various opera-themed riddles and puzzles.
