Ladies and Gentlemen,

We are pleased to announce that the Music Gardens Festival and the new festival Central Square of Music, co-created by the Polish Royal Opera, will establish a partnership that, in the summer season of 2026, will bring together two important musical events taking place across Warsaw. The collaboration will include promotional and communication activities, as well as mutual support in building the presence of both festivals in public awareness.

The Music Gardens Festival, held continuously since 2001 and with more than 25 editions so far, has become a staple of the capital’s cultural calendar as one of the most important summer events dedicated to classical music. The Festival takes place in the Great Courtyard of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, creating a unique space for encounters between artists and audiences.

Central Square of Music will be inaugurated on the 19th of June 2026 as a new open-air festival aimed at bringing classical music into the city’s public space, in the immediate vicinity of the Palace of Culture and Science. Its programme will include symphonic concerts, opera, operetta, musical performances, and special projects featuring outstanding artists. One of the highlights will be Die Zauberflöte by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (a staged concert version), prepared by the Polish Royal Opera.

The cooperation between the two festivals will be based on joint promotional activities and mutual support for artistic initiatives, while preserving the individual artistic identity of each festival. This partnership will create a coherent cultural offer for the summer months of 2026 and strengthen the presence of classical music in Warsaw’s public space.
