Ladies and Gentlemen,

The emotions have not yet worn off after the performances and concerts that took place as part of our summer festival, and we would already like to invite you to the first Baroque Festival of the Polish Royal Opera planned for autumn 2021.

The Festival will be inaugurated with premiere performances of the opera RINALDO / GEORG FRIEDRICH HAENDEL directed by Jarosław Kilian, staged on the 25th and 26th of October at the Royal Theater. October evenings will be filled with interpretations of operas that are beloved and highly appreciated by our audience.

The tragic love story of Dido and Aeneas enchanted in the music of the “British Orpheus” (DIDO AND AENEAS / HENRY PURCELL) and the story of the faithful and steadfast Queen Rodelinda (RODELINDA / GEORG FRIEDRICH HAENDEL) are sure to provoke deep reflection on the highest values and virtues. We will also enjoy the wise humour of the noble yet simple youthful intermezzo composed by the brilliant Italian (LA SERVA PADRONA / GIOVANNI BATTISTA PERGOLESI) and a series of humorous, parodic scenes that originally served as a light interlude performed during the intermission of more serious performances (SCENE BUFFE /ALESSANDRO SCARLATTI). The icing on the festival cake will be the long-awaited comeback of L’Orfeo – “the masterpiece of the human spirit” created by Claudio Monteverdi (L’ORFEO / CLAUDIO MONTEVERDI).

Tickets for all events are now available in the REPERTOIRE tab and on the ewejsciowki.pl website.
