THANK YOU! THE ARTISTIC SEASON 2023/2024 HAS COME TO AN END

Opublikowano:

A standing ovation ended the performance of IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA, which concluded the 7th Summer Festival of the Polish Royal Opera – Rossini. The excellent music of the King of Opera Buffa in sophisticated stagings directed by Jitka Stokalska accompanied us for nine summer evenings. In addition to the already known and loved titles – the sensational Barber of Seville and the hilarious L’italiana in Algheri – the audience was enchanted by the premiere performances of Cinderella (LA CENERENTOLA) under the musical direction of Dawid Runtz with stylish set design by Marlena Skoneczko. We did not forget about our youngest music lovers, for whom we prepared a special event – SINGING WORKSHOPS – Family Meetings with Rossini led by conductor and chorus master Jakub Szafrański.

We are delighted that the Festival events met with so much interest and recognition from the audience. We would like to express our gratitude to “Ruch Muzyczny” – the most important Polish magazine devoted to classical music, a partner of the 7th Summer Festival, and Polish Radio for Children, which took over the media patronage of the Family Meetings with Rossini.

We would also like to thank you, the Audience, for all the encounters with our Artists, both during the Festival and the entire 2023/2024 season. We hope that the time spent with the Polish Royal Opera – filled with joyful cheer and deep reflection – was a source of wonderful artistic experiences. The season started with a bang with the 3rd Baroque Festival, during which we enjoyed the outstanding music of George Friedrich Haendel. We have prepared numerous premiere concert programs performed in the diverse acoustics of Warsaw’s concert halls and churches, as well as several events that took place outside the capital as part of the concert series OPERA ON TOUR. New performances have also been added to the repertoire: HALKA / STANISŁAW MONIUSZKO (VILNIUS VERSION), which delights with its dramatic coherence and power of expression in its original version, A PLAY ABOUT THE PASSION AND RESURRECTION, which is a tribute to Old Polish music and native customs related to the Mystery of the Passion, and the above-mentioned LA CENERENTOLA.

We express our deepest appreciation to all Artists and Employees of our institution responsible for organizing and preparing performances and concerts. We would like to give our special thanks to director Andrzej Klimczak, who co-founded our institution and has been at its head since 2019, ensuring the highest artistic level and setting new directions for its development. We would also like to express our gratitude to the benefactors who made it possible to implement our artistic plans: the PZU Group and the ORLEN Group – the Patrons of the Polish Royal Opera, as well as our Partners, and Media Patrons.

Today, we would like to invite you to the performances and concerts planned for the next artistic season, including the 3rd FESTIVAL IN TEMPORE REGUM. MUSIC IN THE TIME OF KINGS, the inauguration of which is scheduled for the 26th of September 2024. Tickets for the upcoming events are available in the tab WHAT’S ON and on the kicket.com website.

See you at the Polish Royal Opera in the new season 2024/2025!
