The deep boom of timpani, the magical twinkling of glockenspiel bells, a snare drum inviting us to march, a cymbal, a triangle, and castanets – these are the heroes of our rhythmic encounter. You will discover their construction and sound up close, guided by our expert, Mateusz Zawadzki, percussionist of the Polish Royal Opera.
There will be sound riddles, a bit of musical mathematics, and a short workshop with conductor Karol Szwech. Under his baton, you will perform an excerpt from Georges Bizet’s Carmen, an opera full of Spanish rhythms. Percussion orchestra is extra!
The workshop is intended for families with children aged 9 and over.
