A few days ago, we inaugurated the 3rd Baroque Festival of the Polish Royal Opera – Haendel with a momentous performance of Messiah by George Friedrich Handel. In the coming weeks, there will be even more unique meetings with early music.
A special event will take place on the 8th of October at the Royal Theater – a performance of Haendel’s RODELINDA, with OLGA PASIECZNIK in the title role. We are very pleased to inform you that in this way we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Artist’s stage debut. Theatre audiences were first able to hear the beautiful soprano of our outstanding soloist in the autumn of 1993 during the premiere of L’Orfeo by Claudio Monteverdi at Stefan Sutkowski’s Warsaw Chamber Opera. Over the following years, the Artist performed on the most prestigious stages in the world, playing characters from the works of Monteverdi, Gluck, Handel, Mozart, Weber, Bizet, Rossini, Verdi, Puccini, Debussy, Tchaikovsky, as well as contemporary composers. Olga Pasiecznik has been associated with the Polish Royal Opera from the very beginning of our institution.
