Ladies and Gentlemen,
Since 1982, the 29th of April has been the date we celebrate International Dance Day. The date of the event was set to commemorate the baptism of the French dancer and choreographer Jean-Georges Noverre. The great dance revolutionary, known as the “father of modern ballet”, played a special role in the history of our institution as well. After all, he became the inspiration for the first ballet premiere in the history of the Polish Royal Opera, prepared according to the concept of Romana Agnel under the musical direction of Lilianna Stawarz.
On this occasion, the broadcast of the ballet Noverre en action will be available on the YouTube channel of the Polish Royal Opera as early next Thursday at 19:00. The performance was first presented to the public during the Festival IN TEMPORE REGUM. Music in the Time of Kings in September 2020. Although this time, due to the current restrictions, the dancers of the ballet Cracovia Danza and the musicians of the Period Instruments Ensemble of the Polish Royal Opera Capella Regia Polona will perform in the empty hall of the Royal Theater, we strongly encourage you to participate in this unique event live via the Internet.
Live streaming will be available at the link: https://youtu.be/Ctd_0DjNxAs.
