Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Polish Royal Opera would like to invite you on next Wednesday, 22 April 2020, to another event as part of the nationwide initiative #StayHome – art will come to you. This time we encourage you to listen to the retransmission of a unique recital Marta Boberska IL CANTO DELL’ANIMA, organized to honour the 25th anniversary of artistic activity of this exceptional soloist. The artist was accompanied by the The Period Instruments Ensemble of the Polish Royal Opera Capella Regia Polona conducted by Krzysztof Garstka. The recital was recorded on 14 November 2019 in the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of the Polish Radio in Warsaw. The concert will be made available on the YouTube channel of the Polish Royal Opera on 22 April at 19.00.
Marta Boberska – a soloist of the Polish Royal Opera – dazzles the audience with her light, melodious soprano, creates unforgettable characters in both opera buffa and seria. She’s also extremely confident in oratorios and cantatas, as well as chamber repertoire – period and modern.
In the recital IL CANTO DELL’ANIMA the artist performs songs from the Baroque period, which is particularly close to her heart: various compositions by George Philipp Telemann, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Georg Friedrich Handel. The warmth and extraordinary expression of this exceptional artist’s voice bring to life all the emotions encoded by the authors in their works.
