PIOTR CHWEDOROWICZ

Bass. Graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, Prof. Włodzimierz Zalewski’s class. He completed an internship in the Opera Centre in Great Britain as part of the Leonardo da Vinci programme. He participated in master classes led by Bernd Weikl, Kaludi Kaludov, Ralf Doring, and Andre Orłowicz.

Between 2001 and 2003 he was a soloist in the Baltic Opera. Since 2003, Chwedorowicz has been continuing his artistic work as a soloist at the Warsaw Chamber Opera. He’s also collaborated with the Roma Musical Theatre and the Operetta house in Warsaw, the Silesian Opera in Bytom, the Studio Theatre in Warsaw, and the Studio and Logos Theatres in Łódź.

He’s been on several tours abroad with the Baltic Opera and the Warsaw Chamber Opera. He’s performed on stage in many operas, e.g. in the works of W. A. Mozart (Sarastro and Priest in The Magic Flute, Il Commendatore in Don Giovanni, Osmin in The Abduction from the Seraglio, Bartolo in The Marriage of Figaro), G. Puccini (Collin in La boheme, Angelotti in Tosca), G. Rossini (Don Basilio in The Barber of Seville), G. Paisiell (Don Basilio in The Barber of Seville), G. Bizet (Zuniga in Carmen), C.M.Weber (Hermit in The Marksman), or S. Moniuszko (Zbigniew in Straszny Dwór).

He’s a laureate of the 3rd prize in the University Vocal Competition for Danubian Countries in Baden, Austria. He collaborates with numerous state institutions in the field of culture and arts. For this he was awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in 2016.

He is a soloist at the Polish Royal Opera.
