Lyric coloratura soprano. Justyna Reczeniedi was the last student of Bogna Sokorska (diploma of the Fryderyk Chopin State School of Music in Warsaw 1998). She later graduated with honours from the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, the singing class taught by Prof. Zdzisława Donat. The artist is also an alumna of the Faculty of Polish Studies at the University of Warsaw. In 2013, she obtained a doctorate degree in fine arts in the field of vocal arts (the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz).
She made her debut in 2004 as Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte at the Warsaw Chamber Opera with which she was associated for 13 years. The artist often performs in Poland and abroad, she gave concerts in Austria, Greece, Spain, Japan, Canada, Lebanon, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, and Hungary.
Her repertoire includes leading opera and operetta roles, of which the most important are: Gilda in Rigoletto and Violetta Valery in La traviata by G. Verdi, Despina and Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte by W. A. Mozart, Eugenia in Il filosofo di Campagna by B. Galuppi, Basia in Krakowiacy i górale (“The Cracovians and the Highlanders”) by K. Kurpiński, Adela in The Revenge of the Bat by J. Strauss, Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro by W. A. Mozart, or Serpina in G. Pergolesi’s La Serva padrona. She has also participated in around 100 projects in various music styles: from opera and operetta to sung poetry. Reczeniedi has collaborated with many orchestras and chamber ensembles.
She has recorded many CDs, such as Najpiękniejsze arie operowe na sopran liryczno-koloraturowy, Szczęśliwi, Pomiędzy światem a nami (with Jerzy Zelnik) and Święta z kolędą, CO-OPERA and ANNA – Pamięci Anny German (with Krystian Adam Krzeszowiak), Pieśni Fryderyka Chopina (with Marcin Bronikowski), and Pamięci Bogny i Jerzego Sokorskich (with Jagna Sokorska-Kwika and Adam Kruszewski). The artist is the author of two biographies: Bogna Sokorska. Życie i kariera Słowika Warszawy – wspomnienie (2011) and Stanisław Gruszczyński – dzieje króla tenorów (2014). Her own volume of short stories Spotkania was published in 2012. Reczeniedi’s latest achievements are the first performance and recording of Szymon Kawalla’s Liryki miłosne.
She is a laureate of numerous Polish and international singing competitions. She won the 2nd prize at the 1st K. Jamroz Polish Young Sopranos Competition in Busko Zdrój (2003), 3rd prize at the Nico Dostal Competition in Vienna (2003), and the 1st prize at the 2nd Iwona Borowicka National Operetta and Musical Performance Competition in Cracow, where she also received several special awards (2008). She was also the laureate of the 3rd prize at the Arteincanto International opera singing competition in Basciano, Italy (2009).
She is a soloist at the Polish Royal Opera.
