Die Zauberflöte by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is, on the one hand, a brilliant work in terms of music, drama and expression, and on the other hand – full of mystery and hidden meanings. The opera, completed and premiered at the end of November 1791, just a few days before the composer’s death, continues to delight and inspire new generations of artists and music lovers. During the concert, we will hear the most famous fragments of this extremely varied work. After the majestic overture, we will hear arias and duets perfectly reflecting the characters of the main protagonists, such as the jolly Papageno, the virtuous and courageous Tamino, the beautiful and noble Pamina, the powerful and cunning Queen of the Night and the generous Sarastro. The outstanding soloists will be accompanied by the Orchestra of the Polish Royal Opera conducted by David Runtz.
