It was with great sadness that we learned about the death of Maestro Krzysztof Penderecki – a remarkable composer, conductor, and teacher. Krzysztof Penderecki was one of the leading
composers of the second half of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century, a honorary
professor of several renowned universities, and the laureate of many awards and honours, including the Order of the White Eagle, and the Gold Medal for Merit to Culture “Gloria Artis”. With his death the Polish and world culture have lost one of their greatest creators, advocates, and patrons.
We offer our most sincere condolences to the grieving Family and Friends of the Master.
The Board of Directors and Team of the Polish Royal Opera.
