We are pleased to announce that the album Les Métamorphoses du clavecin, co-authored by Krzysztof Garstka – harpsichordist, teacher, and music director of the Period Instruments Ensemble of the Polish Royal Opera Capella Regia Polona, has been nominated for the award FRYDERYK 2025 in the category Early Music Album of the Year.
Les Métamorphoses du clavecin showcases a meeting of two musical personalities, outstanding harpsichordists – Krzysztof Garstka and Aleksander Mocek. The artists attempt to “transform fixed concepts and originals toward new reinterpretations,” recreating the works of French music masters from the 17th and 18th centuries in arrangements for two harpsichords.
We congratulate the artists on their nomination and keep our fingers crossed for their win!
The winners will be announced on March 30 during the Classical Music Gala at the NOSPR in Katowice.
