Ladies and Gentlemen,

it is with profound sadness that we inform you of the passing away of Andrzej Strzelecki – actor, satirist, theatre director, theatre arts professor, lecturer and former rector of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art.

With fond memories, we remember one of the last artistic undertakings of this outstanding artist – Śpiewnik domowy, performed at the Polish Royal Opera in November 2019. The performance was scripted and directed by Professor Strzelecki, who also played the role of the narrator. This love story composed of art songs of Stanisław Moniuszko was a reference to the 19th-century practice of singing and playing music together at home.

To commemorate the Artist, we would like to extend an invitation to you to watch the performance of Śpiewnik Domowy.

The recorded coverage of ŚPIEWNIK DOMOWY / STANISŁAW MONIUSZKO will be available from the Polish Royal Opera YouTube channel from today, 7pm until 3 August, 7pm.
