EARLY MUSIC DAY WITH THE POLISH ROYAL OPERA

Ladies and Gentlemen,

On the 21st of March, we will celebrate Early Music Day for the fourteenth time. The holiday was established on the initiative of REMA (the European Early Music Network) — an organization bringing together more than two hundred ensembles and institutions for which the exploration and promotion of music from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Baroque is an important part of their activity. On the first day of spring, which is also the anniversary of the birth of Johann Sebastian Bach, artistic events celebrating over a thousand years of musical heritage are organized simultaneously in various corners of Europe.

We are delighted to inform you that the Polish Royal Opera has joined the institutions participating in this remarkable international project. Included on the official festival map of Early Music Day is our concert ST. JOHN PASSION BWV 245 / JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH, presented as part of our flagship concert series OPERA ON TOUR. On this special day, we warmly invite you to the Basilica of the Dominican Friars in Lublin to immerse ourselves in reflection and marvel at the timeless beauty of the masterpiece by the Leipzig, interpreted by the Soloists, Chorus, and Period Instruments Ensemble of the Polish Royal Opera Capella Regia Polona, conducted by maestro Krzysztof Garstka.
