The Chorus of the Polish Royal Opera (currently known as the “Zespół Wokalny Polskiej Opery Królewskiej,” previously named the “Chór Polskiej Opery Królewskiej” until the end of 2017) performs choral parts in staged and concert versions of operas, oratorios, and other vocal and instrumental works. This ensemble, consisting of 12 to 24 members, is composed of highly talented and qualified vocalists—graduates of music universities with extensive concert and stage experience. The ensemble’s repertoire spans various eras, featuring works by composers such as Claudio Monteverdi, Georg Friedrich Haendel, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, as well as pieces by Stanisław Moniuszko and Józef Elsner, and contemporary compositions by Włodek Pawlik. The Chorus of the Polish Royal Opera performs under the direction of the esteemed conductor Jakub Szafrański.
