Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are honored and extremely pleased to announce that the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and National Heritage, prof. Piotr Gliński, on the basis of the Act on organizing and conducting cultural activities, awarded the Gold Medal “For Merit to Culture Gloria Artis” to Mr. Andrzej Klimczak, the director of the Polish Royal Opera. The outstanding singer-soloist received this award on the 35th anniversary of his artistic work in recognition of his creative achievements, distinguished contributions to Polish culture, and the protection of national heritage.
On behalf of Prime Minister Piotr Gliński, the decoration was performed by Mrs. Wanda Zwinogrodzka, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
“You are a versatile Artist, gifted with an extensive vocal range, who captivates audiences not only on the stages of Polish opera theaters and philharmonics but also on many prestigious stages in Europe and around the world, including in Japan, Lebanon, Israel or Oman “- wrote prof. Piotr Gliński in a letter read out by Deputy Minister Wanda Zwinogrodzka.
This unique award was presented after the performance DIE ZAUBERFLÖTE / WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART, where the artist played one of his signature roles – the birdcatcher Papageno.
We congratulate Mr. Andrzej Klimczak on this award, and, on the occasion of the jubilee of his artistic work, we wish him undying enthusiasm and strength to implement his bold artistic visions in the coming years.
