Ladies and Gentlemen,
on Wednesday, 3 June 2020, the Polish Royal Opera will publish another archival recording as part of the action #StayHome – art will come to you. This time we’d like to invite you to the SYMPHONIC CONCERT / HAYDN. It will be a retransmission of the event that took place on 8 October 2019 at the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of the Polish Radio. The wonderful classic repertoire will be performed by the Orchestra of the Polish Royal Opera under the baton of Dawid Runtz. The solo part will be played by the great cellist – Marcin Zdunik, admired by the critics for his perfect technique and depth of interpretation and by the audience for the sound, expression, and sensitivity of his music.
SYMPHONIC CONCERT / HAYDN will be made available on the YouTube channel of the Polish Royal Opera on 3 June at 19.00.
The audience will hear Joseph Haydn’s 1783 Cello Concerto in D major called “the Great”(1783). The expressiveness and lyricism of the composition are unusual for its period.
We hope you’ll enjoy the concert!
