Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are pleased to inform you that on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 5:00 PM, the online premiere of the performance The Secret Life of Paintings will take place on the OperaVision.eu platform. The performance was recorded on May 15, 2025 – on that occasion, music and painting shared the same stage at the Grand Theatre – Polish National Opera.
In the production directed by Ewa Rucińska, excerpts from operas by Claudio Monteverdi, George Frideric Handel, and Antonio Vivaldi are paired with masterpieces of painting from the same period. Captivating arias and ensembles are performed by participants of the Young Talent Development Programme Opera Academy, accompanied by the Period Instruments Ensemble of the Polish Royal Opera Capella Regia Polona conducted by maestro Krzysztof Garstka.
We are truly delighted that this performance – a co-production of the Grand Theatre – Polish National Opera and the Polish Royal Opera – will soon be available to audiences worldwide!
