Ladies and Gentlemen,
The mysterious and ominous atmosphere of NIGHT OF THE RAVENS by Zygmunt Krauze marked the grand finale of the 8th Summer Festival of the Polish Royal Opera – Opera Seria. Over the course of eleven evenings, seven remarkable dramatic works – both historical and contemporary – captivated audiences gathered in the enchanting spaces of the Royal Theatre. We fondly recall the emotional inauguration of this annual musical celebration, when, during the premiere of IDOMENEO by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, directed by Marek Weiss, none other than King Stanisław August Poniatowski appeared in the royal box. During those days, works of the opera seria genre from various eras, both foreign and Polish, offered moments of reflection and deep affect. We hope your time with the Polish Royal Opera was full of unforgettable moments.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ruch Muzyczny – Poland’s most important classical music magazine – for being the Partner of the 8th Summer Festival.
