Ladies and Gentlemen,
We thank you for every encounter with the Artists of the Polish Royal Opera, for your enthusiastic reception, and for warmly welcoming each new addition to our repertoire. We are truly pleased that the events organized by our institution throughout the past artistic season enjoyed unwavering interest from our audience, as reflected in an outstanding 96% attendance rate at our performances and concerts. We took great pride in presenting the 3rd Festival IN TEMPORE REGUM. Music of the Time of Kings, filled with compositions that once resonated throughout royal Poland in the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as the 8th Summer Festival of the Polish Royal Opera – Opera Seria. Over the past eleven months, we introduced twenty new concert programs and four diverse opera premieres to our repertoire. We marked the Year of Gombrowicz with the world premiere of HI§TORY by Michał Dobrzyński, commissioned by the Polish Royal Opera, VENUS AND ADONIS by John Blow gained a special character in the minimalist staging by Pia Partum; the grand, a stage vision of Handel’s oratorio IL TRIONFO DEL TEMPO E DEL DISINGANNO, as well as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s IDOMENEO.
With enthusiasm and joy, we carried out our mission of OPERA ON TOUR, which allowed us to meet audiences in various regions of Poland through more than a dozen events. Special attention was devoted to our youngest music lovers. Anna Szawiel introduced children of all ages to the magical world of music and theatre through twenty-six engaging workshop sessions as part of our OPERA WORKSHOPS program.
We extend our appreciation to all the Artists and Staff of our institution, whose dedication made each performance and concert possible. Special thanks go to Director Magdalena Kaczorowska, who has led our institution since September 2024, ensuring its growth and the continued excellence of its artistic standards. We also wish to express our sincere gratitude to the benefactors whose support made the realization of our artistic plans possible: ORLEN – Patron of Opera on the Road and the OPERA WORKSHOPS program, to our Partners, and to our Media Patron.
