This does not mean, however, that he did not return to the works he had already performed. This is evidenced by the cantatas&nbsp;<em>Mein Herze schwimmt im Blut<\/em>, BWV 199, and&nbsp;<em>Ich habe genug<\/em>, BWV 82, preserved to this day in several versions. Both works will be performed at today\u2019s concert by the outstanding soprano Olga Pasiecznik and the masterful instrumentalists of the Period Instruments Ensemble of the Polish Royal Opera Capella Regia Polona. Between the cantatas, we will hear the famous&nbsp;<em>Orchestral Suite in B minor<\/em>, BWV 1067. It is worth paying attention to the Polish accent \u2013 the fifth part of the cycle is, after all, a polonaise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cantata&nbsp;<em>Mein Herze schwimmt im Blut<\/em>, BWV 199, for soprano, oboe, strings, and continuo was written in 1714 when Bach was the court organist in Weimar. There is no doubt that the composer had a highly skilled ensemble of musicians at his disposal \u2013 the cantata is very demanding technically. The progression of recitatives and arias showcases the entire spectrum of possible accompaniments. The prayer of the repentant sinner expressed in the text is reflected in the dramatic instrumental layer. The piece is crowned with a joyful aria in a dance-like character \u2013 a grateful affirmation of God\u2019s forgiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No less moving is the cantata that Bach wrote during his stay in Leipzig for the Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the 2<sup>nd<\/sup>&nbsp;of February 1727. The original version of&nbsp;<em>Ich habe genug<\/em>, BWV 82, was written for a solo bass voice, but as early as 1730 or 1731 Bach rewrote the cantata for soprano. Fragments of this composition can be found in Anna Magdalena\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Klavierbuchlein<\/em>, which suggests that the composer\u2019s wife, who sang in a pure soprano, probably performed them during at-home musical evenings.
