What is an opera, a score, and who stands with their back to the audience? Why does a singer need to warm up before a performance? Who is the stage manager and why are they always wearing headphones? Who is sitting in the booth on stage, does the lighting have magical powers, and what is important when designing a costume?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These and many other questions will be answered during workshops dedicated to our youngest audience members. We invite children aged 6-11 to a meeting with the magical world of opera, where we will be guided by singers, instrumentalists, and employees of the Polish Royal Opera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the workshops, we will tell you how an opera performance is created, show you what theatrical make-up and the job of a wardrobe assistant look like, and we will invite you to the stage to take a closer look at the decorations. Children will take part in a singing lesson with the chorus master, learn whether it is difficult to produce sound from wind instruments, and, at the end of the journey around the nooks and crannies of the opera house, they will listen to a mini-concert. We will engage all of the children’s senses so that they can experience the true beauty of the opera theater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meetings will be held in the historic venue of the Royal Theater in the Old Orangery in the Royal \u0141azienki Museum, one of the few original 18th-century court theaters in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop is conducted in Polish.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
