Due to popular demand, the retransmission of the LIVE concert from the 19th<\/sup> of December 2020 will again be made available on the YouTube channel of the Polish Royal Opera<\/a>. The recording will be available until midnight on the 31st<\/sup> of January 2021.<\/p>\n

A genius symphonist, a master of the musical drama, an aficionado of the human voice. Ladies and Gentlemen, may we present to you Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart \u2013 the central figure of this concert, whose life and body of work have inspired generations of artists. The event, filled with the incomparable music of the Viennese master, will start with a symphony of a cheerful character, listed 201 in K\u00f6chel\u2019s catalogue. Composed by the 18-year-old Mozart in Salzburg, this composition, intended for a smaller ensemble (apart from strings, the score includes only oboes and horns), is especially subtle. The grace and sensitivity, with which the composer uses the sound of wind instruments, is especially noteworthy.<\/p>\n

The second part of the concert will feature the favourite opera fragments of audiences and performers alike \u2013 Cos\u00ec fan tutte<\/em>, Le nozze di Figaro<\/em>, Die Zauberfl\u00f6te<\/em>, La finta giardiniera<\/em> and Don Giovanni<\/em>, each of them ripe with musical pearls which can freely be performed outside of the opera context. After all, Mozart\u2019s genius also lies in his incredible ability to render a person\u2019s character \u2013 be it comical or dramatic \u2013 in a single aria.<\/p>\n
