Could I ever part from you?&#8230; But all in vain\u2026 my mother in misery, we must seek help for her\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0this is Kasia\u2019s dilemma. Kasia is the main character of a two-act opera by Maciej Kamie\u0144ski, with libretto by Wojciech Bogus\u0142awski, based on Franciszek Bohomolec\u2019s comedy.<\/p>\n<p><em>Misery Contented<\/em> was commissioned in 1778 by king Stanis\u0142aw II August Poniatowski.
